Off-Plan (Oqood) Registration
This guide covers how to register a sale under the “Oqood” system for off-plan properties before the title deed is issued.
Step 1: Prepare the documents
You’ll need:
- Initial Oqood contract from developer
- MOU or Contract F
- NOC from developer
- Passports & Emirates IDs of both parties
- Contact details
- Power of Attorney (if applicable)
- Latest Statement of Account from developer
Step 2: Fees
- DLD fee: 4% of sale price + AED 40
- Trustee fee:
- AED 5,000 + AED 250 (VAT) for properties ≥ AED 500,000
- AED 3,500 + AED 175 (VAT) for properties < AED 500,000
Step 3: Application
Submit all documents and payments through an approved trustee. DLD will issue the Oqood confirming buyer’s ownership interest.
Step 4: After registration
The buyer officially holds the property under Oqood until the title deed is issued upon completion.
